Introduction
Letter of Credit serve as effective, inexpensive assurance of payment to vendors before the goods get shipped out to their buyers. Learn about the basics of utilising this document in order to facilitate your company’s various logistical processes.

• Role of Banks in L/C
• Letter of Credit
  - How They Work; 
  - Types of L/C; 
  - The Technical Variations. 
• Opening a L/C
  - Essential Requirements by Banks;
  - Key Terms and Conditions.
• Reviewing Export L/C and Documents Presented under an Export L/C
• Avoiding & Resolving Discrepancies under an Export L/C
• Understanding Shipping Terms in Relation to L/C
• Uniform Customs & Practice for Documentary Credits (UCP 600)


Assessment and Certificate
Participants who fulfill at least 75% attendance for the whole course will be awarded Certificate of Attendance. There is no assessment for this course.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND
This course is suitable for personnel involve in logistics operations, credit management, purchasing and trade documentation etc, and have little or no knowledge of L/C.
